Chocolate Chip Cookie by Mark Sheraton

Mom’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

Yield: 4 dozen | Time: 20 minutes


1 cup brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
1 cup shortening
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
6 ounces chocolate chips


Step 1

In a large mixing bowl cream together brown sugar, white sugar, shortening, and vanilla. Then add eggs.

Step 2

In a separate bowl mix together flour, salt, and baking soda. Then add it to the creamed mixture and stir in chocolate chips.

Step 3

Bake at 350 °F for 8 minutes.
